Tools and Services
Note that this page is under development. More information will be added as it becomes available.
Observational projects must be carefully planned and executed, from the preparation of the proposal to the execution of the observations themselves and finally to the analysis of the data. In order to help at every stage of the project, this page provides a number of tools and useful information:
- Sensitivity calculator: this allows you to calculate the necessary integration times for a given sensitivity, or vice versa.
- Splatalogue: this tool allows you to search for and model spectral lines. Other spectral-line tools include the Cologne Database for Molecular Spectroscopy and the JPL molecular spectroscopy database.
- Observing Tool: this performs two major functions, proposal preparation and, for approved projects, creation of the files required to carry out the observations.
- CASA: this is the offline data reduction software package.
